Jennifer Yang was born and grew up in Seoul, Korea. She started her piano lesson at the age of 5 and her parents and teacher found her musical talent at that time. She was appointed as an accompanist of children ministry at the age of nine and became an organist when she was in high school.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]She is a graduate of Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea with a Bachelor of Arts degree in organ performance. After two semesters of graduate study at Yonsei University she came to the U.S.A, where she completed her Master’s degree in organ performance at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ, under the tutelage of Alan Morrison. She is the second prize winner of the 2003 and 2007 graduate organ competition and is also the recipient of the 2008 Alexander McCurdy Scholarship. She has worked with the Philadelphia Orchestra performing Gustav Mahler’s 8th Symphony (Symphony of a Thousand) under the baton of Maestro Christoph Eschenbach. A teacher of piano and organ since 1996, certified teacher for Music Together(LLC), as well as perform as an accompanist in NJ Conservatory of Music and many churches. She had many solo recitals, chamber music concerts, and choir concerts in Austrailia, Deutschland, Netherlands, U.S.A and Korea. She is member of AGO and MTNA.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
