Couple's Connection
The Couples’ Connection
All couples are invited to the Couples’ Connection.
What's Happening? Several fun-loving and overscheduled couples--just like you-are getting together for an hour to hear helpful tips on making the most of their time together.
Who's Giving the Advice? The group will view footage of World renowned Marriage and Family Life Consultant, Dr. Gary Chapman, as he presents his “A Growing Marriage” seminar. This event will mark the first of six monthly sessions. Chapman, author and creator of the Five Love Languages concept, is easy to follow and offers practical insights and direction.
What Topics Exactly Will Dr. Chapman Cover? The DVD’s are broken into the following topics:
- Communication 101
- Understanding and Expressing Love
- Initiating Positive Change
- Making Sex a Mutual Joy
- How To Share the Things that Bug You
What Happens After the Hour Is Over? You are encouraged to go on a date with your sweetie! Take a walk, grab dinner or hit some tennis balls - you name it! Hopefully the evening’s topic will spark some conversation regarding things you appreciate about your partner or changes you might want to consider.
The goal of the evening is to take a step back and focus on your relationship, embrace the positive, and consider small thing that you can do that would be pleasing to your mate. This should be a positive and relaxing time together. Couples are encouraged to change the subject should a heated topic arise.
What Are the Dates of the Six Sessions? After the January 31st Kick-Off, the group will meet on the following Saturday Nights: February 21st; March 28th; April 18th; May 16th; and June 13th
UPDATE!
