APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT
For about twenty years the Morristown United Methodist Church has sent volunteers to impoverished areas in the Appalachian region. The group drives down in personal vehicles and/or rented vans for a week of repairing homes in need. The trip has proven to be a real spiritual awakening for some and for others, just a good thing to do for people in need. If you would like more information, contact the church office.
Here are our proposed dates for ALL of our 2011 meetings. We will try to stick to them, but sometimes unforeseen events get added to our, and the Church calendars. So, pencil these dates into your calendars now.
Sunday, January 9 - 11:45 a.m.Interest/Info/Expectations - If you are new, or have someone interested in going on ASP then this is the meeting for them, their parents, etc to attend. I strongly encourage you to make this meeting!
Sunday, February 13 - 11:45 a.m.- Group Training
Sunday, March 6 - 11:45 a.m. - Group Training .
Sunday, April 3 - 11:45 a.m- Group Training
Saturday, May 7- Possible Construction Work Day

Sunday, June 5 - 11:45 a.m.- Packing List/Logistics/Last Minute Info etc...

July 16-24 - ASP Trip
